Lo Chambave è il risultato di un uvaggio dove almeno il 70%, come da disciplinare, è Petit Rouge, il vitigno rosso più coltivato in Valle d’Aosta; i rimanenti vitigni sono il Gamay e il Pinot Noir e altri vitigni autoctoni a bacca rossa. La produzione dello Chambave ha origini storiche, anche se nel tempo le sue caratteristiche sono cambiate molto. Questo vino è un buon rappresentante della tipicità dei vini rossi valdostani, da bere anche giovani e che bene si accompagnano alla cucina locale.

Chambave is the result of a blend where at least 70%, as is required, is Petit Rouge, the red grape most widely grown in the Aosta Valley. The remaining vines are Gamay and Pinot Noir and other indigenous red grape vines. The production of Chambave has historical origins, although its characteristics have changed substantially over time. This wine is very representative of the local nature of Aosta Valley red wines, which can be consumed young and which are well suited to the local cuisine.
