Following a hard day’s work, the monks of Cluny used to retire to the Combe aux Moines during the period of the Château de Gevrey-Chambertin’s construction.This plot’s soil, which lies slightly higher up than that of the ‘Cazetiers’, shares its characteristics consisting of fossiliferous clays and white marl.
